Imagine a pair of jeans that you can bike, run, or jog in. They’re lined with what feels similar to the inner lining of your favourite sweatpants. Now imagine that they’re not just stylish, but affordable. This is what the Dish Performance Denim sample sale has in store!
Founded in 2013 by two entrepreneurs who wanted to bridge the gap between style and function, the Vancouver-based brand developed high-performing denim whose successful Kickstarter campaign raised over $270,000 this summer. I visited their flagship Gastown store earlier in the summer and was intrigued with the softness and comfort of their pants. They even have a jungle gym where you can jump, kick, and climb in the jeans to see how they feel in action.
The Dish women’s sample sale, located in the warehouse area in the Olympic Village, is stocked with jeans, shorts, jackets, and shirts. With price points between $19-$50 and a ton in stock, it was easy to find some great denim basics for less. I snagged a boyfriend-fit denim shirt, army green skinnies, denim joggers and black cropped jeans, all just for $100. The super friendly staffed picked out pieces for me that I loved. I’m really tempted to try a pair out at a yoga class!
The sale is running from now until Sunday, October 9th and is located at 24 W 4th Avenue (close to 4th and Ontario Street in Olympic Village in Vancouver). They accept cash, credit, or debit. They also posted on their Facebook event page that every 50th person to arrive each day between September 30 and October 2 will get to fill up a bag with clothes for free!
Happy denim hunting!
